Sample Invitation to Save the Family Community Meetings

The following is an invitation you can use to invite people to your meeting, or you may use one of your own making. We recommend you follow up with a personal phone call, unless this is used as a public announcement. Even then we suggest a few personal calls to invite key people.

Dear (insert names),

We are all deeply concerned about what’s happening to marriage and the family throughout the world and especially in our own nation. Many citizens do not realize that anti-family policies are being considered and passed at the United Nations and adopted as laws by many governments, and how harmful they are to families and our society. Caring people have expressed a desire to do something about it, but don’t know what to do. For this reason we, as concerned citizens, are holding a Save the Family Community Meeting in celebration of the 2004 International Year of the Family.

You are invited to join with us at this meeting on (date and time) at (location and address). Vital issues and information will be discussed and a plan of action suggested. We need your help. It won’t take much time, but what you do can have a significant effect. Please call (your phone number) and let us know if you will be able to attend.
